After 9 months of being offered on XBOX LIVE Marketplace, Battlefield 1943 is finally becoming one of the best-selling online games.
This is not only due to its exciting gaming system, but more importantly due to its selling price. At a price of just US$15, more than 1 Million copies of Battlefield 1943 has been sold from the time that the game was introduced in the market.

Battlefield 1943’s sales is believed to be one of the biggest in the XBOX LIVE network.
As most of us already know, XBOX LIVE is not only a place for gamers to meet, but it also has a place for people to buy games, namely the XBOX LIVE Marketplace. Within the XBOX LIVE Marketplace, game publishers such as Electronics Arts (EA) sell their games to gamers worldwide.
An XBOX LIVE account of Larry Hryb, Director and Programmer of Microsoft’s XBOX LIVE network, who is commonly known as Major Nelson on XBOX LIVE, has been hacked by a shifty hacker.
XBOX Live is one of the service provided by Microsoft specifically for its XBOX gamers. Through XBOX LIVE, gamers can compete with plenty of other gamers from all over the world online.
An XBOX LIVE account stores database of each player’s profile, as well as some personal data ranging from telephone number to credit card details. Unfortunately for Major Nelson, his account was chosen to be hacked by a hacker known as Roid-Monkey.
Roid-Monkey was successful in breaking through the account of one of the most powerful person in the XBOX LIVE network. Not only that, Roid-Monkey had also circulated Major Nelson’s personal data, such as his Skype ID, as well as spreaded false news pretended to be from Major Nelson.
As published on DetikINET on Tuesday (30/03/2010), the hacker had also changed Major Nelson’s profile in a way that made fun of him.
XBOX 360 is rumored to be re-designed. As reported by detikInet on Thursday, 18/03/2010, Microsoft is planning to release a slimmer version of its XBOX 360 gaming console.
This rumor came out after the release of several photos on the internet, which is believed to be of the new XBOX 360.
According to a gaming analyst, Luke Plunkett, the design pictured combine CPU and GPU in one chip. This is how they manage to make it slim. He said: “It is not just a series of simple hardware architecture. It would be a total re-design of a console. Something like PS3 Slim or possibly an XBOX 360.”, as quoted from DetikInet (18/03/2010).
However, Plunkett was reluctant to speculate on the issue as the rumor is still based merely on photos and data only. There has not been any official press release from Microsoft as the manufacturer of XBOX 360 consoles.
